We want to help you make informed decisions and provide you with the right tools to build your retirement savings. As a Media Super member, you can access high quality professional financial planning services provided by Industry Fund Financial Planning (IFFP).

IFFP is a national financial planning practice established by industry super funds. IFFP is dedicated to providing high-quality, non-commission based and personalised financial advice to members of industry super funds.

This service can help you navigate all of your super decisions, including:

• Which investment option is right for me?
• How much can I salary sacrifice?
• I'm retiring soon - what should I do with my super?
• How much tax will I pay if I take my super as a lump sum or a pension in retirement?
• How can I use my super to maximise the Government Age Pension?
• Can I access my super through a transition to retirement pension?

IFFP planners can also offer financial advice on issues other than super, including full financial plans.

IFFP does not accept commissions to recommend any particular product or service and operate on a fee-for-service basis. This means the cost for your financial advice is based only on the amount of time and work that needs to be done, not the amount of money you have to invest.

As a member of Media Super, you are eligible for access to free limited financial advice covering any two of the following*:

• Contribution strategy
• Contribution types 
• Investment choice and strategies
• Insurance options, including Income Protection
• Centrelink and tax optimisation
• Starting a pension

Over the course of a year, you can access two free consultations with an IFFP financial planner. Each of these consultations can span up to four hours, and are free of charge and obligation.

If you then require a full financial plan, a quote disclosing all costs is provided to you for approval before hand.

* IFFP is reimbursed for the cost of these hours by Media Super on behalf of their members.
