Important information about your statement

8 Mar 2018 By Media Super Team

After careful consideration Media Super has decided to no longer issue 31 December statements.

But don’t worry, you can find your balance, transactions, investment and insurance information online at any time.

To log in, you need your member number and PIN.

  • If you’ve never logged on before, please call the Helpline on 1800 640 886 (8.00am to 7.00pm AEST, Monday to Friday) and they’ll quickly set you up with a PIN.
  • If you’ve forgotten your PIN, you can reset it online as long you know the email address registered to your account. If you’re unsure of the email, please call the Helpline and they’ll reset your PIN for you.

If you’d like a printed copy of your balance, please call the Helpline and they’ll send one out. They can also provide your account information over the phone, and answer any questions you have about your super/pension.

You will continue to receive your end of financial year statement in the mail, which usually arrives in mid-September.

Why have we made this change?

For a long time, printed statements were the best way to get account information to members; but more and more members are now accessing their account info online because it’s easy, up-to-date and convenient.

And it’s not just ‘young’ members – you might be surprised to know that a higher percentage of our retired members access their account online!

The resources that were used to produce the 31 December statements will be used to provide our members with more timely and relevant education material and resources about your super and pension.

Always get the inside story

If you enjoy the Insider newsletter that usually comes with your statement, you can find these updates about your investment returns and fund news, as well as articles about your industries and fellow members on our blog.

And if you’ve registered your email address, you’ll receive quarterly updates from us, as well as important info and super tips from time to time.

And remember, we’re always here to help, so if you have any questions about your super, pension or insurance, please call the Helpline on 1800 640 886
