STRONG INVESTMENT PERFORMANCE FOR TOP 10 FINISH2 Feb 2018
Media Super ended 2017 with a strong performance for our members, with both our super and pension returns in the top 10 of Australian super funds.*
2017 was an eventful year on the global political stage. It was Donald Trump’s first year as President of the USA; the UK triggered Article 50 to officially declare its intention to leave the European Union and tough negotiations are underway; general elections were held in France, the UK and Germany (Europe’s three biggest economies); and we saw continued instability in the Middle East and North Korea.
Despite these political events, financial markets were relatively unaffected and we saw solid economic growth in most regions. Leading economic indicators suggest this strong growth momentum will continue into 2018.
