When you join Media Super, either as an Employer-sponsored member or Personal account member, you generally qualify for automatic default insurance cover. The level of default cover you receive will depend on your membership type and your age. If you join as an Employer-sponsored member, your level of cover may also depend on any arrangements your employer has with us.
If you are unsure whether you have cover with Media Super, or how much cover you have, check your statement, call our Super Helpline 1800 640 886 or login to your online account.
Note: Members under the age of 25 and members with a balance under $6,000 are not eligible for automatic insurance cover. Refer to the Insurance Guide for information about the commencement of automatic insurance cover if this applies to you.
