What cover do I have?

When you join Media Super, either as an Employer-sponsored member or Personal account member, you generally qualify for default insurance cover. The level of default cover you receive will depend on your membership type and your age. If you join as an Employer-sponsored member, your level of cover may also depend on any arrangements your employer has with us.

Can i change or cancel my cover?

Yes you can increase, amend or cancel your cover at any time.

To increase or amend your cover, complete the Application for insurance cover form and personal health statement.

To cancel all or part of your insurance cover or to decrease your insurance cover, please complete the Insurance cancellation and reduction form.

You can also increase or decline automatic insurance cover when you join Media Super by indicating your preference in the insurance section of the Member application form.

Getting your cover right

If your only insurance cover is the default cover, it may not be adequate for your circumstances. Working out exactly how much insurance you need can be complex.
