What does it cover?

What circumstances you are covered for will depend on the type of insurance you have with Media Super.

Death Only

Death only cover benefits may be paid:

  • if you are terminally ill, or
  • to your beneficiaries or estate if you die.

Death and Total & Permanent Disablement (TPD)

Death and TPD benefits may be paid:

  • if you are terminally ill,
  • if you are totally and permanently disabled, or
  • to your beneficiaries or estate if you die.

Income Protection

Income Protection replaces a percentage of your salary, including superannuation contributions, if you are unable to work due to illness, injury or disability.

Income Protection benefits may be paid:

  • if you are totally disabled
  • if you are partially disabled
  • to a service provider as part of a return to work program
  • to your beneficiaries or estate if you die while receiving an Income Protection benefit
