Skills and experience: Mark Fagan has worked for the Australian Workers Union (AWU) for more than 10 years, and currently holds the role of Chief Operating Officer in the national office and NSW branch.
He has extensive experience in legal and regulatory compliance, change management, amalgamations and IT modernisation. Mark is qualified in business administration. He has deep knowledge of industrial relations and worker advocacy having held roles as an organiser with the AWU and the Health and Community Services Union, representing workers in many industries across the country.
Mark was the general manager of the Devonport Football Club, where Mark oversaw a turnaround of the club’s finances.
Currently, Mark serves as a board director for the National Entitlement Security Trust (NEST) and is a committee member of the Fair Work Commission’s Compliance Practitioners’ Reference Group.
