Investing back into our communities and creating jobs for members
Over the past 20 years, Cbus Property has helped shape Australia’s cities and skylines. Its portfolio now exceeds $8.2 billion, with a further $3.3 billion of developments underway. One of these projects is 185 Wharf St in Brisbane, Cbus Property’s latest residential development in Queensland.1
Cbus Property has created an estimated 110,000 jobs since 2006, through completed and committed developments. The 185 Wharf St development alone is expected to support around 1,300 jobs.2
These achievements demonstrate how super can be invested in projects that support industries important to our members. Many of our members work in building and construction, and projects like these help create employment opportunities.
Reaching new heights at 185 Wharf St
In July 2026, 185 Wharf St celebrated an important construction milestone by ‘topping out’. Not only does this mark a major step in the development journey, but it also means the development has reached its highest structural point.
Located in Spring Hill on the edge of Brisbane’s CBD, the residential tower will deliver 125 new apartments across 30 levels when complete. This highly sustainable development will include extensive green spaces, natural ventilation and all-electric homes that support more sustainable living.
As the project progresses, it will continue to contribute to employment opportunities while adding new housing to a growing part of Brisbane.
