The Turnbull Government handed down the 2016-17 Federal Budget on Tuesday 3 May 2016. There were a number of key superannuation changes, making this a significant budget for superannuation.

The SuperStream reforms are designed to enhance the ‘back office’ of superannuation by standardising how data is communicated for superannuation transactions. One of the key reforms in this package is designed to encourage the use of technology to improve processing efficiency.
