  • Strong long-term returns
    The default Growth (MySuper) investment option has returned an average of 9.25% for the past 37 years*. Prior to the merger with Cbus , Media Super’s Balanced (MySuper) investment option has returned an average of d 8.28% p.a.# since its inception.
  • Competitive fees
    We're committed to keeping fees low to help you maximise your retirement savings. Our fees are competitive at $104 p.a. ($2 per week) plus 0.19%. of your account balance a year – up to a maximum of $1,000 a year. And if you're just starting out and your balance is below $6,000, your fees will be capped at 3% p.a. .^^

We work hard to provide our members with cost-effective insurance cover that is relevant and valuable to your life. Unlike many other super funds, Media Super's insurance cover are available to actors and performers, whether contracted or self-employed. We'll even cover you if you work takes you overseas.

We invest in and support your industry

One of our key priorities is to help build and nurture the print, media, entertainment and arts industries.

By working with industry partners like MEAA and Equity, we support our members through professional development, internships, financial education and more.

And we don't just talk about supporting your industry. Since 2010 we've invested more than $275 million to help finance over 300 local film and TV productions. In turn, this has helped create jobs for Aussie actors, crew and filmmakers.

If your superannuation account balance is less than $6,000 at the end of the income year, the total combined amount of administration fees, investment fees and indirect costs charged to you is capped at 3% of the account balance. Any amount charged in excess of that cap must be refunded.

Media Super merged with Cbus Super Fund on 9 April 2022. The crediting rate is based on returns minus investment fees, taxes, and until 31 January 2020, the percentage-based administration fee. Excludes fees and costs that are deducted directly from members account.
