If your application through myGov for an early release payment is approved by the ATO, they will send you a confirmation and notify Media Super. We will generally process your payment within five business days. Read the full details about timing and info to check before applying.

Joining Media Super is easy

Joining your industry fund is quick and easy. You can either join online or send us your completed member application form.

If you don't have your details handy or aren't quite ready to join, we can send you a reminder. Just fill out the form below and we'll send you an email or text, or can arrange for your local Business Development Manager to call you and talk through any questions.

Joining Media Super online is easy and take just minutes. You’ll just need your Tax File Number to complete the process.

Once you submit your details, you’ll receive both on screen and email application confirmations. Soon after, you'll get an email with your new super account details.

As soon as you receive this email, you'll be able to log in to your account and make any investment changes, download your digital member card, nominate beneficiaries, or even run a search to find and combine your other super accounts.

You'll also receive a welcome pack by mail in the following weeks, with some more information about your Media Super account and how we can help you make the most of your retirement savings.

You can also join by sending us a completed Member application form in the mail, although this process will take a little longer.

You'll need your Tax File number to complete the form. You can make an investment choice, nominate your beneficiaries and tailor your insurance cover.

Once we set up your account, we'll send you a confirmation letter with your account details. Once you have this, you'll be able to set up your online access or call our Helpline team to make any changes to your account.

You'll also receive a welcome pack by mail in the following weeks, with some more information about your Media Super account and how we can help you make the most of your retirement savings.

Let your employer know you've joined Media Super

Once you've joined and have your member number, you need to let your employer know that you now want your super contributions sent to Media Super.

All you need to do is give them a completed Standard choice of fund form.
