Join Media Super
Joining Media Super is easy
Joining your industry fund is quick and easy. You can either join online or send us your completed member application form.
If you don't have your details handy or aren't quite ready to join, we can send you a reminder. Just fill out the form below and we'll send you an email or text. Also you can arrange for your local Business Development Manager to call you and talk through any questions.
Before joining, make sure you read the Product Disclosure Statement and Target Market Determination. And if you have any questions, call the Helpline on 1800 640 886.
We exist to benefit our members.
In 5 simple steps you can become a Media Super member. We’ll take you through the process now:
- If an employer will be paying your super, download the Industry application form.
- If you are a sole trader and will be paying your own super, download the Sole trader application form.
- If you will not be receiving employer contributions or do not fit the descriptions above, download the Personal application form.
You have two options in completing your application form.
1: Print the form and complete it by pen.
2: Edit the form (PDF document) online.
Though not mandatory, you can include your tax file number, as supplying it can mean you’ll pay less tax.
You can also:
- Nominate your beneficiaries
- Choose the investment options you want.
You have three ways to deliver your completed form to Media Super.
1: Post your printed form to us. (The postal address is located on the form.)
2: Email the form to us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
3: Scan your printed form and email it to us at: email@example.com
*If posting your form, remember to include your signature. And if you’re digitally submitting it, write your name in the name field, and make sure you include the following text in your email:
I acknowledge and declare that I have read the terms and conditions of the [insert name of form] and that this email is confirmation of my electronic signature which is the equivalent of a physical signature as applied to the attached form.

Once we've received your completed form, we will set up your account. You will receive a confirmation letter from us with your account details.
When you have this, you'll be able to set up your online access or call our Helpline team on 1800 640 886 to make any changes to your account.
You'll also receive a welcome pack by mail in the following weeks. It will include additional information about your Media Super account and how you can make the most out of your superannuation.

Let your employer know you've joined Media Super
Once you've joined and have your member number, you need to let your employer know that you now want your super contributions sent to Media Super.
All you need to do is give them a completed Standard choice of fund form.
